In October 2023, Katie became a Partner at Williams&Co and took on the responsibility of compliance matters, specifically ensuring the firm continues to meet Lexcel Standards.

Having gained a 1st Class undergraduate degree at the University of Nottingham, Katie began her legal career at Plexus Law in 2019 as a Legal Assistant in personal injury. She quickly went on to study a law conversion course and achieved a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) with Distinction from the University of Law in 2020.

Katie joined Williams&Co as a Paralegal after completing her GDL and by 2021 had begun her Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE), studying part-time whilst working in the Corporate team. She qualified as a Solicitor in September 2023 and secured 1st quintile scores in both SQE1 and SQE2.

Throughout her career at Williams&Co, Katie has worked alongside Jeremy Garside within the Corporate team and specialises in a variety of matters, including: share and asset sales and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, company document drafting and Companies House matters. She has also assisted on contentious shareholder dispute matters and has supported clients through the litigation and mediation processes.

Katie’s main client base consists of SMEs but she has also spent time assisting individuals starting out in their company journey and guiding them through the process of incorporation.
